Biography​

Kelly had completed her Diploma in Physiotherapy from Nanyang Polytechnic in 2015 and pursued her interest in helping the elderly in the community setting, managing neurological conditions and geriatric rehabilitation in the Day Rehabilitation setting. After about 3 years working in the environment, she decided to further her knowledge and went to complete her Bachelor’s degree from Trinity College, Dublin and graduated with her Bachelor of Science (Physiotherapy) degree in 2019. Upon her graduation, she went on to further her experience in the other areas of physiotherapy, namely musculoskeletal physiotherapy and cardiopulmonary. She gained her experience working in the private hospitals, providing physiotherapy care for orthopaedic post-operative cases, and even following up with these patients, doing home visits.


Her continuous drive to improve her knowledge led her to learn more about Women’s Health and Pre- and Post-Natal care. Kelly spearheads our Women’s Health Physiotherapy Service. She has a keen interest in helping mothers with the pregnancy related issues and also post-partum issues. She runs antenatal and post-natal programs, focusing on easing the pain of pregnancy and post-partum issues like Diastasis Recti (DR). She also noted that there was a gap in supporting breastfeeding mothers. That led her to completed a Lactation Consultant course and is a Certified Breastfeeding Specialist, awarded and recognised by the International Board of Lactation Examiners. She is one of the few Physiotherapist in Singapore who is a certified Lactation Consultant. Armed with her physiotherapy  and breastfeeding knowledge, she is better able to assist her breastfeeding mothers cope with the issues that they might face, whether is it musculoskeletal related or breastfeeding related. She is passionate to give her best care to pregnant mummies and provide holistic care for ladies through their whole pregnancy journey into motherhood.


Kelly’s continuous persuit of knowledge has not distracted her from her initial passion of why she became a physiotherapist in the first place. She is still very passionate about geriatric and stroke rehabilitation. She always responds to calls from patients who needs home visit to help them with their initial recovery at home until they are well enough to come to the clinic for further intervention. She is always very ingenious in using her knowledge of exercises and the use of equipment that one may have at home to aid in their exercises. She believes that one should be able to age gracefully and with dignity.
